# What You’ll Need:
→ Donuts
01 - 36 mini glazed donuts (store-bought or homemade)
→ Icing
02 - 2 cups powdered sugar
03 - 3 to 4 tablespoons milk
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
→ Decorations
05 - 1/2 cup assorted multicolored sprinkles
06 - Edible gold star sprinkles, optional
07 - Graduation-themed toothpick toppers, optional
→ Assembly
08 - 1 large foam cone or cone-shaped cake form, about 12 inches tall
09 - Wooden skewers or toothpicks (quantity as needed)
# Method:
01 - Ensure homemade donuts are completely cooled before glazing. If using store-bought donuts, confirm they are fresh and at room temperature for best adhesion.
02 - In a mixing bowl whisk together powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons milk and vanilla until smooth and thick but pourable; add the remaining tablespoon of milk only if the icing is too stiff.
03 - Dip the top of each mini donut into the icing, allow excess to drip off, then immediately coat the glazed surface with sprinkles. Place glazed donuts on a rack or parchment-lined tray to set for about 15 minutes.
04 - Set the foam cone on the serving platter or cake stand so it sits securely. Trim the base of the cone if necessary to ensure it stands straight.
05 - Starting at the bottom, press the first ring of donuts onto the cone and secure each donut with a wooden skewer or toothpick driven gently through the donut into the foam. Continue layering donuts upward, slightly overlapping each ring to form a conical tower.
06 - Use extra donuts to fill any visible gaps. Scatter additional sprinkles across the tower and add edible gold stars where desired for sparkle.
07 - Place graduation-themed toppers at the peak of the tower for a celebratory finish. Adjust any skewers for stability and aesthetic balance.
08 - Present immediately or cover and store at room temperature for up to 2 hours. Avoid refrigeration to preserve glaze texture and sprinkles.
