# What You’ll Need:

→ Cookie Dough

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
02 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 2 tsp vanilla extract
05 - 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
06 - 1/2 tsp baking powder
07 - 1/4 tsp salt

→ Icing Drizzle

08 - 1 cup powdered sugar
09 - 2 to 3 tbsp milk
10 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
11 - Food coloring (optional)

# Method:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
03 - Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
04 - Whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
06 - Roll dough into 1-inch balls and space them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets. Flatten each ball gently with the bottom of a glass or palm to form rounds.
07 - Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
08 - In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and drizzleable. Add food coloring if desired.
09 - Drizzle the icing over cooled cookies using a spoon or piping bag. Allow the icing to set before serving.
